Registered Radio-Frequency and Ultrasound Cavitation Specialist (RRFUCS)
This new emerging and constantly evolving technology of radio-frequency has created many issues and controversies. Our goal is not to define the scope of practice of anyone using a non-invasive radiofrequency technology, but rather to serve as a competency body in evaluating curriculum, training, and skills. Unfortunately, there are a large number of businesses and institutions, academic and non-academic, whom employ poorly trained or train unqualified personal from a medical and non-medical background. Applicants must be a cosmetologist, aesthetician, massage therapist, nurse or physician with 84 RFUC didactic hours to apply.
Registered Advanced Medical Aesthetic Specialist (RAMAS)
Based on advanced anatomy and physiology, skin properties and disorders, sanitation and infection control, advanced facial treatments, spa body treatments, advanced extractions, corrective makeup, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, lymphatic drainage, radiofrequency and ultrasonic cavitation and advanced massage techniques, pre- and post-operative esthetic skin care, client/patient evaluation and care, applicable laws and regulations, and business practices.
