RCMAS

A Registered Clinical Medical Assistant Specialist (RCMAS) plays a crucial role within a medical patient care team, possessing expertise in Phlebotomy, EKG/ECG, and various medical procedures. Their responsibilities extend beyond administrative tasks such as record keeping and appointment management. They include clinical duties like administering injections, measuring vital signs, conducting various tests, and being proficient in life-saving techniques such as BLS, AED, and First Aid. 

The RCMAS certification indicates successful completion of both parts of the NCMA competency exam, which rigorously assesses theoretical and practical/clinical knowledge. It serves as a testament to their competence as healthcare professionals, ensuring they meet the necessary standards, despite variations in laws and protocols across different states.
