REGISTERED PEDIATRIC PHLEBOTOMY SPECIALIST (RPPS)
A Registered Pediatric Phlebotomy Specialist certificate defines a well-qualified phlebotomy tech who has academic and clinical knowledge and experience in the field of pediatrics. RPPS masters the proper techniques and knowledge set by national standards and guidelines of patient care to properly identifies neonate’s, infant’s and child’s veins. A Registered Pediatric Phlebotomy Specialist must achieve academic knowledge in equipment, and pediatric hematology volumes, thus preventing iatrogenic anemia and guarantying patient care and safety.
*Applicants must have a minimum 2 years of Pediatric Phlebotomy experience.
